Sofia Vassilieva visits St. Jude
Sofia Vassilieva, co-star of NBC's Medium and rising teen movie star, recently visited St. Jude. Upon her arrival at the Patient Care Center, Vassilieva stopped by for fun and games in the newly remodeled Teen Room, a private haven for patients and siblings in their teen years. After visiting with patients and families and taking a tour of the hospital and the Chili's Care Center, Vassilieva sat down for a one-on-one discussion with Jeffrey E. Rubnitz, MD, PhD, a doctor with St. Jude's leukemia/lymphoma division. Vassilieva enjoyed a quick lunch at the hospital before traveling to Target House for her own personal tour.
In a subsequent interview, Sofia discussed her visit to St. Jude. "I can never begin to understand what these kids go through, but somehow I maybe understand a little bit more. They need all the help and attention we can give them."
